PAULINA KATARINA WANDERLUST : SANTORINI ROMANCE

The inspiration behind Paulina Katarina's SS’19 “Santorini Romance” collection is the picturesque island of Santorini in Greece.

A recent trip to Santorini by the brand’s creative director is what influenced this collection. A remarkably beautiful volcanic island that sits in the middle of the Aegean Sea. Santorini’s unique landscape of dramatic ocean views, pristine volcanic beaches, and multi-colored layered cliffs inspired her for this collection.

The colors of the sky against the deep indigo of the sea, rich fuchsia of the bougainvillea and traditional white and blue Cyclades houses combined with the splashes of apricot, yellow and oyster pink Greek architecture shaped the color and print palette. Days are spent wandering through the traditional villages amongst the hills, romantic boat rides, or exploring the wine region while waiting for the most spectacular show on the island to start, the unforgettable sunset.
