Paulina Katarina Archipelago at Jakarta Fashion Week

The Paulina Katarina Archipelago series is an attempt to embrace Indonesia's rich cultural heritage and to encourage the use of Indonesian prints as part of daily activities and ready to wear pieces.

As part of the collaboration with Hotel Indigo Bali and Senayan City, we turned to our island home, Bali as the main inspiration and focused on the use of traditional Balinese fabrics such as songket, endek and ikat.

We looked into Hotel Indigo Bali’s unique interior, how it weaves tradition and culture into contemporary design, as well the tropical yet cosmopolitan lifestyle of Seminyak, which we translated to modern, feminine and elegant silhouettes found throughout the collection.

When developing the collection, we envisioned a strong, confident woman who is not afraid to show her true identity. This collection, titled “Berdaya” is a tribute to women from all background and aimed to celebrate the empowerment of women.

Opening the runway show, we have chosen these incredible four women as our muses, whom we admire and webelieve represent the roots of our collection. We are forever grateful to Luna Maya, Nadine Chandrawinata, Naomi Samara and Feby Jabrik for being part of this journey with us.

Our heartfelt gratitude to Hotel Indigo Bali, Senayan City and their magnificent team for trusting us with this collaboration.

Massive thanks to Linea Shoes Indonesia for the shoes and Alenka & Margo for the jewellery and making the entire collections come to life. ❤

Xoxo,

Paulina Katarina
